After going through the list of teaching tools, I found just several that I am familiar with and used however there are many that look familiar but I will only expand on the ones I am confident with using. I will place each of them in corresponding order.
- Seesaw is a platform for student engagement that all teachers could benefit from using. Its strengths are, it can be used for elementary level students. Students can benefit from accessing this program daily in any subject, in-person and blended learning. It can be used as an instrumental tool for students doing research, entering data, saving and submitting. Its weakness would be that it is not accessible for students beyond grade 5. It has the potential for teachers to use as a content creation tool, where students who will be away can access their work and submit. It can totally be used in day to day learning.
- Learning A to Z is an affordable, easy-to-use teacher resource intended to fill the teaching gaps left by many Reading, Writing, and Science education programs. Its strengths are, it can be used daily for elementary school students. Students can benefit greatly from accessing this program daily in any in person, and blended learning program. Its weakness would be that it is not accessible for students beyond grade 5. It has the potential for teachers to use as a content creation tool, again when students will be away from school for awhile and/or when they can no longer stay focused in the classroom, they can access this program at home.
- Raz Kids is a text levelling program that determine where to start students in Learning A-Z’s levels, which correlate to other systems and the criteria we use. Its strengths are, it can used daily for elementary school students. Students can benefit greatly from accessing this program daily in any in person, and blended learning program. Its weakness would be that it not accessible for students beyond grade 5. It has the potential for teachers to use as a content creation tool, again when students are not attending school as much, when they are having difficulty concentrating in the classroom, they can access this program at home.
